Starting in March of 2023, six federal and state educational investments will be operationally combined. This project is called “Aligning for Student Success: Integrated Guidance.” This is an effort by ODE to integrate these different grants to “reduce administrative burden and reduce administrative confusion.” With this plan, there exists improved alignment for administrative tasks related to the initiatives being aligned, including:
- High School Success,
- Student Investment Account,
- Continuous Improvement Planning,
- Career and Technical Education,
- Every Day Matters,
- Early Indicators and Intervention Systems
Each of Oregon’s 19 ESDs has deployed a liaison to support the Integrated Guidance. All 19 ESDs and their Integrated Guidance Liaisons are responsible for providing technical assistance and capacity-building to all school districts and charter schools.
The liaisons are the primary point of contact and collaboration between 1) ODE’s Office of Education, Innovation, and Improvement, 2) the ESD represented, and 3) the districts within the ESD’s service region.
OAESD works collaboratively with all 19 ESDs and their Integrated Guidance Teams to effectively carry forth the tasks identified. OAESD also collaborates with ODE to develop support structures for Integrated Guidance implementation.
